He promotes this solution as an alternative to metro systems - and the investment costs in a complex urban environment of bored tunnels are similar too. That’s why. Cars are a very ineffective use of public space and even more ineffective way of using extremely expensive tunnels.

New tram extension approved in Budapest, we already published the tender for the detailed design and permit plans. The Buda interconnected tram network (new lines from Deák Ferenc tér and from Óbuda) will extend to the south along the Danube.

- the Ikarus 211 was manufactured from 1975-1990 and it was mostly popular in the DDR. This one was made for the Lenin agricultural co-op in Murony, Hungary, then used by a school in Debrecen. We acquired it in 2019.

In Vienna price of the unlimited annual transit pass was reduced few years ago to 365 euros (1 euro/day). Since then they sell more annual passes than the number of cars in the city. Customers can pay for their annual subscription monthly. That way a month costs only 12 tickets.

As Hyperloop One shuts down, we need to admit that the Hyperloop was never meant to be built.
Its goal was never to transform transportation for the masses, but to stop or delay high-speed rail from reaching North America. And sadly, it succeeded.

Together w/ MÁV HÉV we issued the tender for 54 new low-floor trains for suburban lines H5, H6, H7. It's the largest public transport rolling stock investment in the Budapest region in the last 40 yrs.

Exploring the Budapest - Lajosmizse suburban line. Most of the commuter traffic is served by buses, because trains are poor - 40 km/h, 1 train per hour.
