Might not mean much to a lot of people, but I'm a 38 year old boomer who started fighting games in iron back when the game released in 2023. Back then, the homie @TerraMagni showed me literally everything I needed to know about SF6, he was the absolute lab god, he was beyond patient with me and even made me my first leverless with pinewood(!). #PlayOnPinebox I hit master in early February 2024, but was stuck in the 1200s for the longest time, it was a rough wakeup call. I remember my first ever TNS, I went 0-2, my second match was against the infamous ElderGoose, I lost obviously but managed to take a game off his Luke back then and he proceeded to legit rip me to shreds in the custom lobby after, how trash like me don't belong in masters, and that I should off myself. Interestingly enough, this was my one and only negative encounter in the FGC up to that point, everyone else had and has been super nice and helpful with me. Shoutouts to @jav1ts @Bri4nF @Chris_F_22 @fchampryan @broskiFGC for all the content they put out for newer players, I learned so, so much watching your videos/twitter content. Special thanks to @RushdownX for the coaching sessions even though he hates sf6 and only wanted to prove that any monkey could reach 1700 with their eyes closed. (sorry I'm not quite there yet, but good enough for now lmao) HUGE thanks to @EverEvie6 and his community for kicking my ass on the daily and dragging me out of the low master hell hole. (I guess you could argue I'm still low master, but hey that's my peak so Imma just say im a regular master now) Special mention to @UrsaRising, his consistency with grinding ranked, every, single, day, and tweeting his notes on the daily really inspired me to keep grinding as well. Aiming for 1700 and maybe more next phase, I'm not stopping here!
