Thrilled to share the first results from my PhD @_Murphy_Lab! We were able to resolve a 46-kDa membrane protein to 2.2 Å without fiducials and with multiple substrates bound! Also a mutant structure gives insight into the process of the hydride transfer for the NOX proteins.

Excited to share our preprint: “Structural and mechanistic insights into Streptococcus pneumoniae NADPH oxidase” in which we obtained a structure of a 46-kDa membrane protein to 2.2 Å resolution without fiducials.
