Just today different people called me a crypto-communist, a crypto-fascist, and a crypto-monarchist. The liberal mind has a hard time understanding non-liberal views from the inside, and thus tries to slot them somewhere into its mythologized narrative of the “Triumph of Liberalism” successively defeating the ancien regime, fascism and communism.

Here’s an experiment I’d like to see: social prompting. Log in with your social account, have an AI app pull posts from your social network, and use all that as input to create things it thinks you will like. This may solve the issue where people don’t know what to prompt for.

@sarcasticSyzygy I will note that subjecting the USG money spigot to direct presidential control is an asymmetric weapon, as there is no right wing ecosystem that can be funded at scale under Rs and thus defunded under Ds. So activating the weapon must look like enemy crushing inherently.

@sarcasticSyzygy I will grant that part of the agenda is to reduce USG capacity to do the kinds of things Elon/Trump don’t like in the future, e.g., be a reliable source of funding for an NGO ecosystem (since the next R admin can just come in and rerun the DOGE playbook).

@gfodor Lawyer here. Injunctions in general aren’t legally dubious but they have limits which this one exceeds. They probably can’t run directly against the President (Mississippi v. Johnson) and it’s questionable whether they can grant nationwide/universal relief to nonparties.

The President’s Take Care clause duty means he can order Treasury officials not to violate the anti-terrorism act.
