The day we realize we need to follow rules and be righteous regardless of what people around us do, we will create a better society. Not everything is in the hands of law enforcers. This is where culture and upbringing has a big role to play. #thoughtoftheday

@srinualavilli 1. Bus fare hike was 15% while metro was 50-100% effectively. 2. Bus (sarige ones) are free for women. 3. The average bus user is less understanding of long term impacts than avg. metro user.

@varungrao Leave money, what's the plan of action? Is there something that is going to work with that?

@varungrao Completely agree. @OfficialBMRCL isn't running trains for free, they are indeed revenue services. So they should be all the more excited for more frequent services but they are dumb enough! Looks like lack of intent along with lack of competency.

@varungrao Yes, they never cared. @OfficialBMRCL authorities are so disconnected with ground reality.

@varungrao It's an irony that a government that took up rising prices as an election issue and introduced "freebies". Effectively, this govt. has made our day to day life costlier by 25% (can be higher depending on your consumption). Inflation left right and centre.

@OfficialBMRCL @srivasrbmrccoi1 No wonder if vehicular traffic rises in Bengaluru. Blame both @CMofKarnataka and @PMOIndia for this.

@AnilRajeUrs3 @ravikeerthi22 Don't think so. Govt. hasn't been paying the dues of shakthi scheme tickets to KSRTC.

@KshitijAMalve @cbdhage Disagree. In Karnataka it was way behind in new line, doubling and electrification. There was a period b/w 2015 right up to covid lockdown where things ran at a fast pace, which is why we have some projects completed. That said a lot of activities are pending. We are underserved.

When emotions cloud our judgement, this is what happens. As customers, we need to understand it is imperative to learn to be pragmatic while interacting in the public. Had the lady been calmer, she would have realised of having created an unnecessary scene. Clearly at fault.
A heated argument broke out between a cab driver and a woman in Bengaluru over a route dispute. The conflict began when the driver, following the navigation instructions on the Rapido app, refused to take a right turn at a particular junction because there was no right turn allowed at that point. However, the woman insisted that he should take the turn, seemingly unaware of the traffic rules. In response, the driver calmly explained that he would drop her at the exact location she had marked in the app, following the designated route. Despite his reassurance, the woman accused him of taking a different route. After some time, she began expressing discomfort and claimed that she was feeling unsafe, even though the driver maintained a polite demeanor throughout the conversation. As the argument escalated, the woman raised her voice and accused the driver of shouting at her. However, the driver, struggling with Hindi as his mother tongue was Kannada, tried his best to communicate clearly and respectfully. He repeatedly assured her that he was not being rude but was simply trying to explain the situation. In an unexpected turn, the woman then stated that she was pregnant, seemingly to garner sympathy or justify her frustration. The driver, showing concern, politely asked her to remain calm, reassuring her once again that he would drop her at the exact location she had entered while booking the ride. Despite the driverโs efforts to explain that there was no legal right turn or U-turn at the spot, the woman continued to argue, appearing to play the victim. Throughout the interaction, the driver remained composed, doing his best to handle the situation despite the language barrier and the false accusations. #bangalore #bengaluru #roadrage @BlrCityPolice

@amoghmannikeri9 @varungrao @FinMinIndia may avoid using "up to" and instead use "less than" for better clarity.

On a different note, I'm happy and pleasantly surprised that it's just a 2-car convoy and both cars are mid level sedans. Unlike some other ministers having 5-6 car convoys with each vehicle costing 3x the times of this entire convoy! @nsitharaman ๐ #BudgetSession2025

@varungrao HRA exemptions are a function of rent paid and actual HRA paid by the employer. What's this 6LPA?
