Two years and one day ago I got really wasted and decided I wanted to take my own life. Today I'm two years sober. Corny as fuck, but I seriously can't believe how wonderful life's gotten since then and everything I've accomplished in two years. It really can get better ❤️

This year I read 90 books, started a podcast and released 42 episodes, ran a half- and full marathon, adopted a dog, published 2 novels, vacayed in Dominican Rep/Colombia/Guatemala, made more $ than ever before, stayed sober, told people I loved them, etc. I think I did okay.

Accepted a Park Ranger job in Utah--a "dream job" in a place you stare at, wondering how anyone's so lucky to live there. Gonna focus on my bag, my mental, my body. Practice setting boundaries. Let go of ideas/people/places once dear. The rest will follow if you love yourself.

Today I'm sober 19 months. I first took a break to clear suicidal brain-fog. Thought, this'll be temporary. Thought, probably on occasion I'll go back to having a beer in a month or so. But it flips from being challenging to start to a cascade of gifts you don't want to give up.
