Not wrong about streaming services, but I don't see anyone in the comments or QTs who recognize that Cape Fear (1991) was a remake of Cape Fear (1962) and boy there are some laugh-out-loud cinematography and lighting choices in it (spectacular thriller nevertheless).
90% of running a streaming service seems to be saying: “Hey, remember that movie you liked in the ‘80s or ‘90s? Now what if it was photographed like shit and nine hours long?”

So much good public policy work is left on the table because of potential media headlines and risk aversion. It must be liberating to generate a swarm of so many bad headlines that new ones are lost on the margin; to seemingly have a mandate to actively generate bad headlines.
