Well do I remember this episode. To save time I gave Bart a side-to-side walk cycle so I could use our “stock animation” of dialogue heads. And I had Fred Gwynne’s Herman Munster in mind when animating Bart fainting.

@JayKogen @Brandon_Bird @dailysimpsons @GoldS_TCRF @internetarchive @AlJean I beg to differ - when we were working on the shorts Matt had them named after his parents already. Bart refers to Homer by name in a number of the shorts. Marge’s name wasn’t spoken but Matt had her name in mind.

This is what Joe looked like when I first met him and how he will always look in my mind's eye. Yesterday was a sad, sad day. But, in a world that seems like it's going to hell in a handbasket, to have a legacy of making people happy is a significant accomplishment. RIP Pal!
