And that is the reason he said none of it, instead decided to lie his way to victory.
If Keir Starmer had said before the election that he would remove the winter fuel allowance from millions of pensioners, betray WASPI women, add inheritance to family farms, council tax & energy price increases, raise university tuition fees, plaster mass-scale solar panels on thousands of acres of prime farmland despite huge local community objections, spaff £22bn of taxpayers’ money on carbon capture machines, give £3bn a year of taxpayers’ money to Ukraine, pledge a 20% cut in meat & dairy and get exposed for receiving over £100,000 worth of freebies - he almost certainly wouldn’t have won. He duped the electorate. A shameless display of snake oil political salesmanship. And yet he still lectures all of us in that gratingly sanctimonious manner of his like we are he problem and not the Labour government.

Any government that thinks it is a good idea, to take away the Winter Fuel Allowance, is going to be unlikeable. To remove it so quickly, and then use a lame excuse for doing so, is very much nasty. Then having done that, throw money all over the world like confetti.
'Privately a number of Labour MPs are complaining that the government under Starmer is “deeply unlikable” and “behaving too much like Reform-lite”. One new MP even said: “We look like the nasty party now.”' That MP is not wrong.

It is unacceptable attacking genuine cases. Once again governments attack the majority, based on a very small minority. x
I'm so tired of having to fight the same old rotten system time after time all because I'm unable to work anymore. I'm tired of living in fear of having our benefits stopped & becoming homeless again. I'm tired of having to protect my dying partner of all this worry ...I'm tired.

MPs are so completely useless at asking questions/pursuing answers on behalf of the nation at PMQs , is it time the public asked the PM questions? Nothing pre planned (apart from the obvious screening) delivered direct. On the spot answers could be very interesting! #50sWomen

Very familiar, I had to sell my family home of 30yrs to raise money to survive the almost six years of my missing pension. It affected all my family, grandchildren who would stay now unable to. Retirement plans my husband and I had looked forward to gone.
