Do you remember... Times have changed... Students back in the day created in the classroom with glue, scissors, glitter and crayons. It was messy as a teacher! ;-) Teachers might display student work in the classroom somewhere or students might take it home and parents would display it on their refrigerators for a time. Now, students can create graphics, podcasts, websites and video and not only share it in class, but in their LMS, or online for the world to see. Parents can share it with family members, share it on their social media accounts and maybe get a mug or shirt printed with their child's creation. We've moved from creating for the pleasure of a few to creating for the pleasure of the world. Vendors like @Screencastify who continually send emails to school district domains with email messages that makes it seem like the district has purchased a district license, even after they have been asked to stop marketing in this fashion, is not cool! It is dishonest! Why would a district want to do business with an edtech company like that?
