Beautiful words.
Just watched A View to a Kill (1985), the last Roger Moore 007 movie, for the first time. Criminally underrated. Great send-off to Moore. They dialed down the goofiness and absurdity of the Moore's era while maintaining his lightheartedness, with a believable spy thriller plot. That's how you send out an aged hero. Unlike what we've seen with Indiana Jones, Luke Skywalker, and others. He's experienced, competent, and never turned into a joke about his age. Specially comparing that with what they did in that last diarrhea of a movie, where Daniel Craig's 007 is turned into a tragic, broken, disposable figure. It's night and day. Moore's 007 goes out in style and as a true James Bond.

@CameronYardeJnr I donāt think Cruise will kill him off. Itāll be left open-ended or with him having to retire or disappear - like at the end of The Dark Knight Rises.
