The freedom/flexibility you get with Ultrahand ability is so cool 👏 I couldn't get through the broken rail with 1 cart so I fused 4 carts to hopefully push through it and it worked 🤣 Big brain moment for me 🎉

So Nayuta got a date (September) and that's the last announced Falcom/Trails game by NISA. Does this mean Kuro no Kiseki is next and we'll get an announcement soon by September? 👀 Hopefully releasing early 2024 or first half 🙏 I've been hearing great things about this game 🥹

One thing I really like about Trails compared to other games:
While there are fantasy elements, the overall theme, story, plot and worldbuilding feel grounded and make it believable (e.g., war, crime, politics, modernization etc) Really helps with immersion/relatability I feel 🤔

What got you into Trails and what made you fall in love with the series? 😁
For me, what got me started was Cold Steel. A JRPG with mecha elements and battles was so cool, I had to try it. What made me fall in love was the worldbuilding, characters including NPCs and music👏

When I found out that Trails into Reverie and subsequent Trails games opening moved to 3d from the anime-like scenes and illustrations, I was a little sad to be honest.
The Cold Steel opening was what got me into Trails, I would watch it fully every time I boot up the game 😁

After a few hours of reorganizing my Trails shrine, I think I'm satisfied with this look 🎉
The acrylic stands are really a nice addition to the display. Don't think I have any space left to add more so it will probably stay like this for now 😌

A lot of people (past me included) are intimidated to get into Trails because of huge commitment and long series.
To that, I say think of it as anime. Sometimes after it ends, you wish the story and characters to continue, that's basically Trails. A seasonal anime experience 😌

As much as I like Cold Steel games and it being a special as my starting point into Trails, I can't say enough good things about Zero and Azure. May not be graphically impressive but gameplay still holds up really well and the characters and story make it worthwhile to play 👏

Picked up Cold Steel 1-2 Limited Edition (PSVita JP ver) from Suruga-ya online for a sweet deal (¥2460) and great condition.
I don't actually own a Vita, these are more for display/collection purposes (as I don't have the English LEs) Will be adding them to my Trails "shrine" 😁

Trails in the Sky, where it all begins. It lays the foundation for future games, introduces and explores concept of "bracers", essential for Trails characters and storytelling.
And don't sleep on the 3rd, it closes off Liberl arc nicely and prepares the series for the future 😌

2 lesser known Falcom games that are great games and you can jump right into it as the games are self contained.
Tokyo Xanadu eX+ is also getting a Switch port, releasing this month. Perfect opportunity to play 😌

Unboxed the Trails through Daybreak Limited Edition 😌 I think NISA does a pretty good job with their games limited editions, with all the stuff they include. Even the game itself comes with reversible cover, digital soundtrack and artbook booklet 👏

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, one of the best action games I've played. Combat is fast and fluid, gives you an adrenaline boost whenever you land perfect dodges/blocks and overall feels really satisfying. And the story, to my surprise, developed to be something epic. Falcom 🙇♂️👏👍

After 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, I was hyped for Vanillaware's next game. And they delivered another banger 👏🎉 Fun and addictive real time strategy gameplay, tons of cool characters, in-depth mechanics to fine tune and most importantly beautiful art style 😌 Highly recommend!

It's a wrap for Trails through Daybreak. Strong start for first game of a new arc. Foundation is set now, looking forward to see what Falcom is cooking in the sequel. Love the new graphics, banger music and engaging hybrid combat. Also plenty of past Trails references for fans 😁

One of the games that made me teared up a little 🥹 Tales of Arise is the game that keeps on giving. Just when I thought it was about to end, a whole new opening movie played and continued on (Season 2 anime vibes). Love Alphen and Shionne interactions, they are so precious 👏

Which Trails of Cold Steel game cover art is your favourite?
Probably Cold Steel 1 for me, maybe it's because Rean and Alisa are positioned the closest 🥸 but there's just a certain charm to it. Also like the original Class VII Thors Military Academy uniform color and design.

Trails of Cold Steel 1-4, where it all started for my Trails/falcom journey. I was rather late to the series and locally could not find an Eng copy of CS1-2 anymore. Luckily

Trinity Trigger Day 1 Edition unboxed 😌 Comes with artbook and soundtrack (2 discs) Tried the game for 2 hours, first impression is very good. I especially like the art, inclusion of anime cutscenes and voice acting. Will have to sit in the backlogs for now due to Zelda TOTK 🥹

Booted up Unicorn Overlord on the Switch for a quick minute, the game art style looks amazing (as usual with Vanillaware games). Animations look smooth and the game runs well on handheld mode which is probably how I'll be playing the game most of the time 😌

Granblue Fantasy Relink, a game that I've been waiting for a long time. Happy to report that it was worth it 😁 After 100+ hours, I can't say enough how much fun this game offers. Story was a little thin, but great graphics/art and most importantly fun gameplay and multiplayer 👏

Kai no Kiseki opening movie got me eager to catch up to the latest Trails games but I know it'll be quite a while before we can play it.
In the meantime, I'll look at my Trails shrine every day and wait patiently... 🥹 starting with Trails through Daybreak II in early 2025 🙏

Finally arrived in the mail 🎉 This game means a lot to me. As a kid, I didn't have a Game Boy Advance so I played it on our home PC ☠️ but didn't know how to set up game save. Had to restart every time and the furthest I progressed was past the first boss. Real good times 🤣

Saw a post about Xenoblade Chronicles being an "auto attack" game and reminded me of my initial impression. I too didn't like "auto attack" but hear me out, it serves a purpose in XC, so you can focus on the battle and strategize. There's a lot more depth to it (details below) 😌

Fie, one of my staple characters for late game fights in Cold Steel series and Reverie (maxed out her evasion and critical % 😁)
Figure is highly detailed (as expected from Kotobukiya), came with a stand for the left leg to counterbalance the weight which is great for long term.
