Horrorween Day 13 - Alien: Covenant (2017) Surprisingly, this was the first time I've gotten around to watching this one. I love the franchise, warts and all, but never heard many positive things about Covenant. Honestly, though, I quite enjoyed it! Two Fassbenders?! Sign me up!

Horrorween Day 12 - What We Become (2015) A quarantine heavy zombie film out of Denmark, coming across like a more polite version of The Crazies, where all hell breaks loose due to a pervy, angsty teenager deciding he wants two things: sex and freeing all the captured infected.

@AndrewPolino We went to see their "Age of Pleasure" tour last year, and it was, again, fantastic! Can't say enough good things about Janelle Monáe!!

Horrorween Day 11 - Ghostkeeper (1981) Feeling like a perfect double-feature with "Manos: The Hands of Fate", we have a few friends taking a wrong turn towards a lodge and becoming victims to the current caretaker, until one ultimately replaces them, but this time, in the snow!

Horrorween Day 9- Phenomena (1985) Fuck me, this movie is everything! An Argento film with Jennifer Connelly, she's a sleepwalker that can telepathically control bugs, she hangs out with Dr Loomis and a chimp, the soundtrack is wild, and it was the inspiration for Clock Tower!

I was going to say that this sounds like the intro to a cheesy action movie/crime thriller someone should be drafting, then I remembered that things like "Hard Rain" and "Hurricane Heist" already exist.

Horrorween Day 8 - Carriers (2009) A film originally made in the aftermath of the SARS epidemic of the early 2000s, Carriers feels like a bleaker version of Zombieland, just with fewer zombies (none), grimmer worldview, Chris Pine, and a higher focus on PPE and risk mitigation.

Horrorween Day 5 - Tarot (2024) A low effort "Final Destination"-style horror movie about a haunted tarot deck. It's based on a 90's YA novel, but checking out the book's plot, about a serial killer killing teens based on their horoscopes, I don't see how they're related at all.

Horrorween Day 4 - Cure (1997) A slowly unraveling tale of a detective's investigation into several brutal, yet random murders, all linked together by an X-shaped cut to the victim's throat, the perpetrators not knowing why they did it, and a mysterious man with no memory.
