@SimonHarrisTD the “rotten” comment suggests a lack of awareness of the modern HE learning environment. The minister is welcome to see the value of quality online learning @DBScollege and how it’s fits into tmultimodal learning experience HE students want

From July’s @ELEVENatDBS, I can’t get over the value of seeing the cues to genuinely connect and communicate and not letting them pass by. Plus, hybrid delivery with cohort and facilitators in the room and online can really work well with unanticipated bonuses @DBScollege

@glynnmark Too true Mark, but to get back on point, how specific are HEIs when talking about modes of delivery? Learners and funders cannot make informed decisions when the terms used in the IT article are so vacuous. We need standardised terms that mean exactly what they say on the tin.

@glynnmark Wouldn’t argue with you Mark, CPD is key but, and not to be a pain, what exactly is CPD without minimum standards and a defined and agreed approach. How do we square the circle of academic freedom and individualism with facilitating a consistent online learning experience?

@glynnmark I get that Mark, but the sector is not uniform. Between, and within, HEIs, there are differences, which means the potential to learn and an obligation to be transparent so learners can make informed decisions. The IT article got nowhere near that. What does online really mean?
