@AlissaAzar This is very concerning. Also it is a constitutional right to be able to film the police. They are telling you to voluntarily give up this right. This is a thing the police try all the time with a surprising amount of success. Do not do it.

@tbvaleska Sense this is getting some attention I thought I would add a little. There was no violence from the protesters of any kind. The police were rude and aggressive claiming they felt threatened by unarmed people across the street from them.

@AlissaAzar Record the police every time you can. Even if it is not you interacting with them. Be respectful of the person they are interacting with but still Record it even if you are just giving a description of what is happening at the time. Document as much as you can.

@chadloder This is a clear violation of the 4th amendment. He had done exactly nothing wrong other then existing as a vulnerable person and contempt of cop. This in no way made society safer. It was nothing more than a punitive reaction from a cop.

@lovemycelica @MacFarlaneNews I have seen people arrested for standing in the street. Refusing to leave a public side walk and park. I have seen people shot with impact munitions for standing in a public park quite at a distance from the police ordering a dispersal when they were no threat.

@ThatRadAshley @LPofDelaware If someone pulls your door open at night in a parking lot and puts a gun in your face the first thing you think is car jacking, not cop. He doesn't identify himself and he barks orders giving no time to react. Cop does not get to create the dangerous situation.

@realCruzThomas @MacFarlaneNews If the police had filled the lawn with tear gas as soon as they took down the first barricade the people that pushed up to the capital would have been far less. Most did not have proper equipment to be exposed to that much gas and would have retreated.

@tbvaleska The Springfield police then arrive(they are very violent and dangerous). The police pushed the protesters out of the road on to a much smaller street and attack the protesters. They then grab multiple people and arrest them.

@tbvaleska They devoted the resources of 4 agencies, well over 50 cops, a federal agency, at least 20 vehicles, and who knows how many other resources for a protest on a sidewalk. The escalated violence and used force on people that were no threat to them or the community.

The reason is people go into the road all the time for legitimate reasons. Protesting is a great example of one. This is victim blaming.

@heartmoonshine @becca__lr If you are in the US almost all states require them to notify you with in 30 days in some way. If they pasted 30 days you can request 100% back(some states it is more) If this happens file a claim in small claims court.

@NogodsN @IwriteOK According to the FBI data that was collected for over a decade before covid it was around 2%. An unarmed person was more likely to stop a person with a gun in most cases. The majority stop on their own or they stop because of a self inflicted gun shot wound.

@ACLU_WA I don't think the people that wrote this law understand what this means. If they think they smell a drug they now have the legal right to lay hands on you. If they see something in your car at a trafic stop they can forcibly remove you from the car free of conciquences.

@state_secession @RepMTG You realize that in order to secede every person in Texas would have to give up US citizenship. They would loose all federal funding. Social security, Medicaid, Medicare, all federal pensions including military, all veterans benefits. It would decimate the states economy.

@AlissaAzar I was at a protest in Eugene a while back and the police had their window down as the pulled up to a light that had just changed. They waved at me thinking I was a "safe person" to wave at and I pulled out a little squeaky pig and squeezed it thr entire time they waited.

@ElbaMaricela74 @KamalaHarris 100 burned buildings in Portland. The Portland fire department released a statement a few weeks back saying they have had no buildings burned down as a result of the protests. Not a single one. 100 building would be all of downtown and many other parts.

@TonyKoia @politico The Russians are fighting a fairly conventional war now. They have targeted some civilian infrastructure at times in the past but for the most part it has been a mostly military to military engagement. Isreal vs Palestine has been Isreal heavily targeting civilians.

@mmistretta9 @jasonrantz What is very interesting is that many cops were in the military where they got a ton of vacancies. This has been fairly common place for almost 70 or 80 years. Many fields that interact with the public have some kid of mandate and many private companies are adding mandates.
