I've had a headless cheetah plush hanging about for 12 years (as you do) and last night I finally decided to make something with it. This is Felix, he's a kitty.
The softest, sleepiest, most pastel Rattata! This fluffy baby is made from star-textured plush which I absolutely love, plus tie-dye accents for an extra dreamy look.
Today I upgraded my sparkledog plushie, Magenta Sparkle Moon Heart, by giving her one angel and one devil wing! Plus some new accessories. She's looking better than ever!
Could you be the one he’s dancing for???
Three cute Prehistoric Planet inspired carnotaurus plushies will be looking for their special someone tomorrow (Monday) at 5pm UK time.
Tomorrow (20th) at noon UK time, these two sweet

-inspired Mononykus plushies will be gettable via Palaeoplushies. Watch out for them!
It’s wooden wheely Jellybean! I’ve never made a wooden toy like this before so it was a lot of work despite seeming simple, I’m so proud of my Wheelybean!
Meet Shapes the bug ferret!

’s Runaway to the Stars, I love their worldbuilding and comics and had great fun creating this bit of fanart! :)
Baby chimera! 🦁🐑🌦
I’ve wanted to sew myself something inspired by colourful baby toys for ages. Coming up with all the details for this cutie and trying to make it look ‘authentic’ was so much fun!
This single blue raptor has been hanging around since Easter, but it's still good I promise.....
Actually its the last plushie I have with an older tag design.
While cutting out the pieces for my gorgonops babies I accidentally snipped right into the nose of one. Did my best to stitch up the little guy and I think it's not too bad, barely noticeable til you look closely really! This one will be a little discounted though.
Hey thylacine appreciators! Wanna get a little beanie plush of your sona/character? I'm opening very limited slots for custom-printed little guys like these...
It's been a while since my last plushie drop, been sorta hard to get myself to sew lately. But I've now got a little stock of gorgonops babies and a trio of carnotaurus I'm hoping to drop in the next week!
I don't know if I'll manage to keep up with it, but I thought it might be fun to try and make a small, quick plush for each new episode of
#PrehistoricPlanet
as I watch them this week....?
So, for Islands, here is my attempt at a little Simosuchus!
Day 2 of
#PrehistoricPlanet
and day 2 of sewing a little plushie about it!
The Badlands episode had a fairly obvious plushable animal choice… velociraptor baby!!
I got this new velociraptor plush who is very nice looking, but I thought she needed some proper wing feathers on those arms. So I made her some myself!
And here's the whole week's worth of
#PrehistoricPlanet
plushies together!
Seems my wee sewing challenge was a success, I actually managed to sew one creature per episode as I hoped, and I had fun using a few different styles for the little guys too!
I wanted to show off my thylacine plushie shelf, since there’s quite a bunch there now! I name all (well, most) of my plush thylas with a herb and spice theme.
I would LOVE it if Jellycat produced a thylacine plush, but in case they don't, I have made my own bashful thylacine! It's modified from a bashful golden bunny.
My final little
#PrehistoricPlanet
plushie for the week is triceratops! Specifically the old bull with his asymmetric horns, I thought he had such a distinctive design to plushify, even if I didn't have the perfect colours.
I made another bashful Jellycat thylacine btw... Their names are Patchouli (big) and Nettle (small) and I'm obsessed with them both! They used to be bashful golden bunnies before modification.
I would have watched Prehistoric Planet earlier today but apparently I had to make myself a little buddy to watch with first?? Here’s my new bumpy beanie Carnotaurus!
Friendly rainbow anomalocaris!
Getting all those silly paddles lined up nicely was so hard, if I make any more of these I’ll need to find a way to do them more reliably lol
Aiming to make a few festive thylacine beanies again this year, this time based on the snow thylacine I built a couple winters ago! I need to wait for some more noses and thread to arrive but I’ll aim to make one or two more, hopefully in the coming week.
I'm bringing a small assortment of my plushies to
#TetZooCon
this weekend! Find these wee friends at a corner of the
@palaeoplushies
table... if they can find space on it lol
Was watching Vegesaurs (little baby cartoon) and I felt inspired to make my own, it's a Berryopteryx (blueberry/archaeopteryx)
Then of course I wanted to sew it! It's tiny because that's all the blue fabric I had.
Here is a soft little Peteinosaurus! I own a few pterosaur plushies but I thought I should have one made by myself too. I thought a lifesize-ish small species would be fun!
All of this last batch of one-off custom thylacines! Couldn’t resist a big group shot before they disperse. Look at all those stripeys…
Two commissions, three artfight attacks, and one just for me!
After making all those felt gingerbread thylacines I really had to make one in a more 3D form, so here’s a festive beanie friend! Made slightly larger than my mini beanies to fit the red nose, with puffy paint icing, plus a jingle bell hidden inside!
This is my Jellycat Monty Dragon, who just got a new pair of wings! His original wings were made of suedey material like his spines and horns, but I didn't like the texture of it on the larger wing surface, so I made him some softer, smoother cotton wings inspired by oak leaves.
Slightly late, but my
#PrehistoricPlanet
plushie for day 3 is the pachycephalosaurus! Their colour scheme was a really fun one to simplify here! Tried a jointed style this time using buttons and I love how it came out, so cute...
This leptictidium plush I made a few years back was in need of some editing, I really wasn’t satisfied with its body shape. It stands and sits better now, and feels slightly cuter! It also gained a handful of spots.
Red squirrel plush I finished today! I wanted a squirrel plush, but not one of the many you see made in that rigid sitting pose... I wanted a beanie squirrel that looked like it could run and leap! So I had to make my own.
A second anomalocaris! I did a neater job of this one’s paddles by taking the time to reinforce each one with foam and stitch it to its neighbours before sewing them all in place. A little more preparation, but saved myself having to unpick them repeatedly!
I have one slightly wonky Salt thylacine who ended up with a smaller head, so I've decided to offer a small 'silly billy' discount on this one (due to me being a silly billy while sewing it). It's cute in its own way! It reminds me of a sphinx kitten!
Lots of goodies I picked up from
#TetZooCon
!! There was more gorgeous art there to tempt me than ever. I'm glad I had my own things to sell this time so I could spend a bit more!
Had to swipe a Prehistoric Planet popcorn bucket too, Honeybee the mononykus thinks it is very snug.
Very hyped to find a binturong plushie in the zoo gift shop! I remember on my last visit wishing I could find anything binturong in the gift shop, haha.
Had a great view of the real binturongs today too, but my photos of them are less good!
Thinking of taking on a couple of custom pocket-sized beanie gorgonops or thylacines like these. 40 quid + whatever shipping, you’d pick the colours (depending on what I have lol). Just looking for one or two for now, who is interested?
