Update on course conditions, the greenstaff have got 70% of the kings bunkers back in play with more to come. We hope you enjoy your golf

So we are trying to cut some the dryer areas today... We cut all greens yesterday, cutting a few of the dryer fairways today for the first time in months and the collars and approaches are being cut today also! Rough is still too wet to attempt, but hopeful for next week thou 👍

So good to see all our players back yesterday, not so good to see hundreds of un-repaired pitch marks are just one day of play!! Please for the sake of your course, repair your pitch marks. Thank you.

To all our members.. and other members of other clubs... support your club over this difficult time... golf is more than a sport.. it’s a social experience. Let’s come together and have a coffee and a chat... it’s your little getaway from life’s other pressures. Members are golf!

So as I’m sure all our members know, Gov have closed golf courses and driving ranges until Dec 2nd. We will be looking after the courses until your return! A good four weeks to practice putting in the living room!! Stay safe and see you soon !

We have been experiencing nearly four months of very wet weather, awful weather... but we are not alone.. golf, football, rugby etc have all been affected... here are some photos from other clubs via social media to prove we are not alone in our efforts to keep the course open...

So we are open tomorrow, please don’t turn up too early for your tee time as you will have to wait in the car park. Make sure everyone observes social distancing and obeys the rules... otherwise we will all end up back in lockdown and no golf!!!

Update - Friday 18th February
Both courses are closed for the next 48 hours, this will be re assessed Sunday morning due to the weather warnings and heavy rainfall forecast.
The Clubhouse will be open for breakfast and beverages from 7am until 2pm Friday and Saturday.

Course conditions for Sunday 22nd December are... both courses closed due to another 11mm of rain overnight. This now means that over the past 10 days or so be have had nearly 100mm of rain... which equates to 100 litres of water PER square meter of land!!
