Every maze is made of 2 pieces joined together at the ends. Using a pc you can solve in seconds by using the bucket tool to colour in one half of the walls. The correct path will be along where the different colours meet. You can fill in the path and colour the half back.

I think what OP was trying to say is that, for example, the People's Republic of China is roughly 70 years old while the concept of "China" is thousands. Or Greece is an ancient idea, but the Third Hellenic republic has only been around for fifty years.
