@Carlospizza9 @dr_andrealove Exactly what I was hoping for… someone who actually does vaccine research might be following this thread, and would weigh in.

@Carlospizza9 @dr_andrealove Not in the United States. We (as I am in my 40s) did get chicken pox, but we were vaccinated against measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR). I do not know of a single peer who has actually had any of these “childhood” illnesses.

@dr_andrealove Real question here (and pardon my ignorance): Do adults (40s-50s) who work in, say schools, need any kind of booster for the MMR we received in childhood? Do we have data on the longevity of vaccine immunity?

@teachbk If you don’t take your full course of antibiotics (or take them too often), bacteria will develop resistance to that antibiotic, which is what creates “super-bugs.” Bad news.

@lunaspandas1351 @savannahelisse You are certainly correct: any woman seeking emergency contraception or an abortion should also have access to family planning counseling. There are many options in between no contraception, and forced sterilization. (Dear Lord, this is why we need health education in schools.)

@lunaspandas1351 @savannahelisse 1) Taking Plan B prevents a pregnancy from implanting in the uterus, and should not be used as regular contraception. 2) Yes, abortions can affect future fertility, but so can common infections that are spread during unprotected sex.

@mrs_g_rider Right??? And then I’m curious about the real time, place, culture, etc. so I research it, and learn even more! If schools taught history, first focusing on the story, people would retain a lot more knowledge!

@lemmeccee @tierralamour_ 1) OP stated that her daughter wasn’t well, and she wanted to avoid taking her out in the cold. 2) Do you do all of your own shopping? I work full time, and barely have time to keep up w/ general life responsibilities. Grocery delivery/pick-up means I actually have food at home.

@GenTXer2 Moist- Mainly because the word annoys people, but it also clears or confirms several common letters (though, statistically, Clear is better).

@RossKneeDeep Bigotry and ignorance. Anyone who thinks “country” doesn’t borrow from Black blues and spirituals, as well as Appalachian folk traditions, doesn’t pay attention. Add to that to cross-overs with Norteño, Conjunto, and Tejano music, and you add a lot of “color” to “white” music.

@beyoncegarden Observation of Blue Ivy’s performances: She is concentrating! She has worked on her moves, and she is deeply concentrating to make sure they are perfect. She isn’t putting on a performance smile to preen for the audience. I love that no one is forcing her to. Respect!

@mattbramanti When you sit down with them, ask them to write down their best price. If you aren’t close, be ready to walk. Also- If you can, secure bank/credit union financing; better deal for a cash offer. You may get a higher-end, low-mileage model a couple of years used, rather than new.
