@celestialbe1ng I assumed haha. I’m looking into one too, fresh juice is a necessity at least with the current food supply. Most fruits are unripe. Anyways, best of luck.

@lowmegatron I wonder how much of the benefit of anti-serotonin drugs just stems from unbloating the gut

Stimulating conversations are often the most overlooked aspect of overall health. They are perhaps more important than anything else you do on a daily basis. The lack of good conversation means the words you are sharing with others are dull, and nothing useful is being learned about yourself or those around you. Conversations should be energizing, allowing you to spend time reflecting once the day is done and know that you have learned something impactful about the way you see the world. Tangential, but I think this is why podcasts have become so popular. Besides ones that are pre-scripted, most people have no idea what they are gonna say beforehand, so each new conversation gives people a new perspective. Back on the subject, the third step of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is "Love and Belonging". Once you are eating the right foods, have left a stressful environment, and feel secure— a lack of meaningful social connection is the next thing that will prevent you from being what you are capable of and "self-actualizing". Many people will continue to turn to the basic Physiological Needs (step 1) and adjust their diet and lifestyle and sleep for years on end when in actuality all they need is to be around people who care about what they say and make conversations enjoyable. Most people in 2024 have outsourced this need to short-form videos, but unfortunately for them, this state of passive consumption gives the individual no say in the way the processing of new information unfolds. Ultimately, this leads to a state of despair where the organism goes about its day without purpose, when that purpose could have been found by fleshing out what they are dealing with in conversation and cementing ideas in the real world. In conclusion, maybe the problem you are dealing with is just a lack of social connection and the wisdom you will have learned from the social interactions you have. You are a "wise man (or woman)" who desperately seeks to know more about themselves and the world around them, and you won't be able to do this effectively without meaningful conversations. Spend more time in deep conversation. -- This type of conversation where you care less about what other people think and care more about what you have to learn requires that you converse with someone who is open-minded. If someone is closed off and not willing to have their mind opened you are likely to experience the dull, useless conversation that has led you to a miserable state. But when you find the right person at the right time, you might get a glimpse of the "peak experience" that all humans desperately desire.

@JulianaLung There always has to be a protocol … maybe you just drink coffee because it feels good!!! But then they call that an addiction?

High testosterone means nothing if you have low DHT and high estrogen. There's a reason clinics prescribe TRT, but never DHT. When you search "DHT" on Google you are bombarded with 10 reasons why it's bad.... and you can't even find one single benefit. Well, this study seems to think that most of Testosterone's mental health benefits are actually due to the 5aR steroids that come by way of downstream metabolites. When those processes are impaired (by say Finasteride or low thyroid function), your testosterone just turns into estrogen and you don't get the same effect from high testosterone. Testosterone will change your ability to put on muscle mass, but if you want the antidepressant effects of androgens you need to optimize DHT first.
@Thermobolic DHT is more important than testosterone for mental health, and if you’re already low test you’re primed for aromatization when you take it as a drug. Until you solve the estrogen problem you’ll still feel shitty.

@Helios_Movement @vision009191 @monolilium When I write tweets I’m just fleshing out ideas in my head, I could care less whether someone thinks it’s within the peat boundaries.

@monolilium I don’t think that’s incompatible with what I’m saying. You can take estrogen and get a rush of energy and feel stimulated, but it doesn’t mean it solves your depression.

@PeatPill Basically you have to learn to trust your own instinct. Most people have long outsourced it to other people. Must re-learn the first signal system.

@celestialbe1ng I think the HDL is actually high, the normal range is 40-60mg/dL and he’s probably trying to raise it as much as possible. I’m pretty sure Haidut talked about high HDL as a marker for endotoxemia which is plausible with the high fiber diet. Let me try to find the GE episode.
