wow. PG&E and others have paid for a bunch of these cameras since 2017, when the North Bay firestorm caused widespread destruction partly because authorities had no "eyes in the sky." . now those eyes are burning up.
It appears we have lost the Bonny Doon camera aswell due to the #CZUAugustLightningComplex, hasn't updated in 3-4 minutes. Third time in 24 hours fire has directly impacted a fire camera site.

"wildfire season" was not really a thing when I grew up in Monterey County, where three dangerous fires are burning now, including the #RiverFire and the #CarmelFire. now it's an annual nightmare, especially in the North Bay's wine country. this is climate change.
