The last person I would have expected to run into in Germany was Don Garber. I took the opportunity to ask him about the Apple deal and the threat of foreign leagues playing official games in the USA.
NEW: When asked about leagues wanting to play in USA, MLS Commissioner Don Garber warns, "We all need to be very thoughtful about how our market develops so that everybody can be a winner." Suggests that he wants to protect investments made by MLS owners.

English Championship is such a good league to watch. Fun, competitive and unpredictable. Lots of technical skill on display that's far superior to some of the top leagues.
The other negative is lack of VAR but maybe that's a godsend in some ways.

Graham Potter managed my club Swansea from 2018 to 2019. I've got so much to say about him as a coach.
But for now, credit to Swansea for continuing to take chances on coaches. Swansea's assembly line has produced Graham Potter, Steve Cooper, Roberto Martinez & Brendan Rodgers.

MLS is doing the right thing... prioritizing soccer instead of trying to schedule around other sports. The consistency of having games played at the same time is more important for MLS Season Pass and those attending games.

Clubs from Germany and England will not be playing official league games in the US. It's LaLiga and Serie A that are most likely from Europe as well as Liga MX and Ecuadorian league from elsewhere.
