@pugson @reno_stl Hey, Matt from Hawkeye here! Totally understand your privacy concerns. It’s definitely a significant issue with tech like this. We make sure the user knows when their eyes are being tracked. I think it’s incredibly important that users actively want to be a part of the test.

@MetalHaze Hey Alex, the calibration dots should advance automatically once it detects you focusing on them. Tapping the screen is used as a backup. Eye tracking performs best if you use it in good lighting while sitting down. Really appreciate you trying out the app!

@pugson @reno_stl I’d also be in support of a system-wide indicator that shows the user when eye tracking is in progress, similar to the status bar indicator for location sharing and the green webcam light on Macs. Something like this makes a ton of sense:
