That’s backwards btw, it was the US backed Shah that allowed women’s rights for the first time. The Islamic Revolution in 1979 overthrew the shah and replaced him with the current Islamic Republic, where women are forced to wear the veil.

I grew up in Collierville. The entire town is basically run by real estate men. They keep passing self serving mandates, growing the town but growing in debt. The city will be abandoned by them when the inevitable suburban collapse happens from the debt they’ve taken on.
