This week for Children's Mental Health Week @Dt_Blacklowbrow, we embraced the theme 'Know Yourself, Grow Yourself.' Inspired by Inside Out, we explored emotions, created artwork, practiced mindfulness, and had meaningful discussions about mental health. #CMHW2025 #GNF

Earlier this week some of our @Abraham_Moss Year 10 pupils took part in a thought provoking 'Mock Courtroom' activity with @JusticeMuseum. They also had the exciting opportunity to meet two judges and ask them questions. #GoodNewsFriday

Earlier this week @DeanTrustWigan Y7 netball team won both their league games, showcasing excellent teamwork, resilience, and skills, and the newly formed Y8 team, played two league fixtures, giving 100% effort representing the school exceptionally well. #GoodNewsFriday

Y5/6 boys @DTForestGate competed in a football tournament @BroadoakSch, facing teams from @DTPartington and Meadowbank School. They finished 2nd, with excellent team spirit and standout individual performances. The boys should be proud of their resilience and sportsmanship. #GNF

Early years @Dt_Blacklowbrow were very lucky to have a visit from a student’s mother who taught the children about being a Geography researcher. The children had the chance to wear lab coats, use different equipment and explore a range of materials. #GoodNewsFriday

Happy Friday! This week saw the first @DeanTrustWigan Outward Bound trip to Snowdonia, Wales. Groups completed 3 days of activities and had a brilliant time participating in a range of adventure activities designed to build their confidence and develop team work skills. #GNF

Firefighters from Manchester Fire Service visited @Abraham_Moss to talk about fire safety at home. They shared tips on smoke alarms, escaping safely in an emergency, and the impact of hoax calls. The children really enjoyed it and have been chatting about it ever since! #GNF

Year 6 @DTPartington enjoyed some brain-gym movements this week before starting their after-school revisions classes. The children have been putting in great effort recently and appreciated a well-deserved movement break and refreshments in readiness for their boosters. #GNF

Y6 @DTForestGate children had a fun and informative trip with #CrucialCrew, meeting key figures who help keep us safe. They took part in activities with Manchester Police, Travel Safe, Banking, British Transport Police, Network Rail, and Nursing. A great learning experience! #GNF
