@WoganMay Yes, that's very true. There's a lot to be said for the two reactions to childhood trauma: 1. Repeating the cycle in the role of the victim in the hopes of a different outcome, and 2. Repeating the cycle in the role of the perpetrator to regain perceived loss of power.

@WoganMay Yeah, it's been a huge learning curve for me over the years as to how coercive control works and the powerful and insidious nature of the abuse process. Every case has taught me something new about human nature.

@mammachefjozi I can only hope that silence meant she was just living her life in peace. I do often have people contact me after podcasts air so maybe someone will reach out with more info. I would love to interview that judge, though. She had a pretty wild story of her own.
