This is where I raise my Ebenezer- thus far, the Lord has helped me.
I completed my second degree and achieved a 1st class (for the second time) with prizes. Looking forward to all that the future holds.

God’s plans are good, better than the plans and thoughts we have for ourselves. Grateful for love that mirrors His own love. Thank you Jesus!
2 Samuel 7:18 - “Then King David went in and sat before the Lord and prayed, “Who am I, O Sovereign Lord, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?”
Thank you Abba, for fulfilling every of your promise to me.
I'm so happy to finally announce my acceptance into the 2020/21 NESG Bridge Fellowship. I am much more happy I made selection as under 25 (minimum eligible age).
I look at my life with so much gratitude and humility. All of the defining experiences and the beautiful people surrounding me. Excited about the future, as bright as God's promises.
Cheers to living my dreams and global exploits. Happy birthday superstar!!
There’s no phase in my life my parents, my entire family sef weren’t present - common entrance oh, JAMB, A’levels, uni, NYSC camp sef. There’s nowhere they didn’t follow me to. I’ll do the same for my children too.

I understand everyone saying getting professional nannies but I also think workplaces can be more inclusive for parents if they have a running daycare. My mum said she used the daycare within her workplace when I was a baby. Easy to check on your kids during breaks.
Some of you are doing so well; really well in fact. But you are not celebrating it because you've painted the picture of success to be- scholarships, awards of recognition, Board appointments, etc. Pleaseeee success has multiple sides, don't wait for a 'big' moment to celebrate😭
Dear young person,
Please don't let anyone waste your time in the name of mentorship or volunteering. There is a place for building valuable relationships or experience, but you can almost tell when it's exploitation. This one is personal!!
Last December while traveling home for Christmas, SARS stopped us to question my brother about his car. I will never forget the statement the officer made in between, "Do you know I can shoot you here and nobody will find you on this lonely road?"

This one is written with love 💛💛
I recently delivered my last assignment (for now) in the nonprofit sector to explore other expressions of 'me'. The nonprofit/social enterprise sector happens to be the only space I've worked in so I compiled lessons from my personal journal.
I really appreciate how RCCG constantly ensure there’s a sign language interpreter for every major service or broadcast. It makes ministrations disability-friendly.

I take pictures of my food because I love food well-presented. I love the aesthetics and sometimes the ambience of the restaurant. I hardly achieve that level of presentation by myself. I don’t even see the big deal to be honest🤷🏽♀️
Started PG this week (officially my 3rd degree) fully sponsored.

It's interesting that the people we went to primary school with can someday become Presidents and the ones we played with in the neighbourhood can become global leaders. It just shows that nobody fully know how far and how much anyone can become.

Churches won’t go anywhere. You must really think all people go to church for is to pray for a good life. The church exist for other things- teaching the word, sense of community, praying for one another, praying for the nation and those in authority, etc.
You don't have to create your own thing to be a changemaker. You don't have to be the Founder of something. You can join people who have started already.

Over the next 1 year, I will be serving as Technical Assistant to one of the Technical Working Groups saddled with the responsibility of producing the Mid-Term National Development Plan (MTNDP) and Nigerian Agenda 2050.
THANK YOU!!!
My digital guide for nonprofits, Passion to Impact was launched
this afternoon over fireside conversations with industry experts and thought leaders. Thank you so much for the incredible support. I'm extremely grateful!!

Last December, I experienced a crazy low, maybe the worst ever. I was dealing with a major disappointment/setback. I'm so grateful for amazing friendship; the type that stay to cry with you all night (for days), assuring you better days are still ahead.

Some of the developments I hope to see in 2023:
-More youth participation
-More female representation
-Increased participation for persons with disability
In essence, I hope a much more inclusive government will emerge from 2023 elections.
In all, I am super honoured to have been selected to attend the 2019 World Bank Youth Summit out of over 3,000 applications. I look at this with great pride. It has helped me see myself in a different light. Truly, I am an emerging leader capable of so much.
Looking forward to the thought-provoking conversations. I will definitely be learning a lot from the speakers. Thank you
@NewVoicesNG
for putting this together.

I am so excited about this! I am opening up free consultation hours for people in the nonprofit sector. You can book a slot and get to ask specific questions around managing your organisation or ongoing projects.
Register here by April 20th.
Edo was a such good time. Had an amazing time supporting pre-election advocacy & voters education. Praying for a peaceful election.
Special shout out to
@inclusivefrnds
for the amazing work to support persons with disabilities in exercising their franchise.

In educating rural communities about gender equality, we need to first understand the traditions of that community. Do not impose your enlightenment on people who do not know better.

I really want to do pre-wedding shoot just for the sake of it. No, I'm not engaged. I just want to wear fine clothes with a fine person, smiling at each other. After the shoot, we will go back to our houses and continue living our lives.
GIVEAWAY!!!
I have 5 free copies of my new book for 5 people. My mentor just paid for 5 copies to give out. If you will love to claim a copy for yourself, kindly reply this tweet stating the impact you hope to create in the new year.

MILESTONE!!
Over the weekend we dug and laid the foundation for our first informal learning centre to be built with plastic bottles. At AREAi (
@Areai4Africa
) we are engaging the most innovative strategies to improve access to education for rural children.
This period more than ever is showing us the negative impact of poor database. Also, it's slowly proving that local government structure in Nigeria is a figurehead structure. Local governments can't even account for approximate population of people per
community. Tragic!
I launched 'The School Project' last year, an initiative to mentor children in slums. Kezia was extremely helpful in sourcing for funds. Not only did she donate to the project, she kept reposting the flyer. We do amazing things together!

I had a long phone call with a friend. He asked, "what's the most unique thing about your new book?" I replied, "It's simple, concise and straightforward, devoid of theories." My desire was to create a nonprofit 'recipe' book with principles that can be applied immediately.
I find it amusing when people bring up adulthood and freedom whenever I decline alcohol. It’s funny because being an adult means I can choose not to drink or smoke and I’m within my rights to decide that.
On 2 different occasions while volunteering as a community school teacher and teaching a bunch of kids from an IDP Camp, I asked how many of them will love to be teachers. Sadly, none of them because teaching profession doesn't come across as noble to them.

For a long while, I was trusting God for a Christian community here and genuine friendships. I finally found a community coupled with having a new Christian flatmate. Yet, I forgot to thank God because other things I was hoping for didn’t come through. But now I’m grateful🥺
It's a good day to unveil the special guests for the virtual launch party. 💃💃

I am extremely delighted at the commitment of the over 90 State leaders who attended the just concluded 'Mind the Poverty Gap' Conference. Our work

continue to kick against extreme poverty in the world.
THREAD
It's been a month working with the 'Foreign Policy and Int'l Relations' thematic working group to produce the next national development plans (medium & long term). I started journalling my lessons from the experience. I will be sharing from time to time in a single thread.

The VP sometimes move around to be sure the funds are appropriately disbursed. Maybe there's a political agenda to the scheme but it's actually an incentive for petty traders.
I'm slightly disturbed the last time we had a census was in 2006, all we've had since then are mere population projections. So how do we then ensure social goods and services are equitably distributed?

To be fair, she’s just one woman out of many others contesting for different positions. I don’t see how this badly reflects on other women’s ability to contest.
I speak for myself, my brothers and my friends. I speak louder for my children yet to be born. I speak for the present and future of Nigerian youths. This impunity ends with my generation. This stops now.

The interesting thing about academic research is how you’ll be thinking you’re the first to conceive an idea till you start your research only to discover tons of papers on your idea/topic. There’s truly no new research, only new perspectives.
Book of the Month (August) - This has to be the best non-fiction narrative I’ve read so far. An authentic yet balanced account on the insurgency/Chibok girls’ ordeal. I have so much to say so see below ⬇️
I’ve seen both Breath of Life and A Tribe Called Judah and they are both amazing movies. I loved them and I think the team on both movies did a fantastic job.
You people comparing should take it easy please!
I got a rejection sometime ago and I decided to send a mail seeking specific feedback. They actually highlighted the missing element in my application and provided hints on the average qualification of selected candidates. I know what to do better next time.
Update- Spontaneous road trip went really well. We were quite indecisive because no plan🤷🏽♀️ but we took lots of pictures, had a decent lunch and roamed the streets. I still believe the trip would’ve been better if we had a rough plan🙄
📍London 🇬🇧
I’m an (extremely) organised person. I literally plan everything from start to finish but today I’m doing something quite different sha🙄. Taking a spontaneous road trip with my friend. Absolutely nothing planned. Let’s see how this goes🙂
I’m so grateful for my Christian community: so much warmth, kindness, sound teaching, etc. I remember when I used to pray for a church family in this city.
And yes, my pastor’s wife hugged me today🥰
The beautiful thing about the documentary isn’t even that the girls could look after themselves, it’s their way of thinking. They delegated roles amongst themselves, when one of them was down, they came together to make her feel better. Leadership skills👌🏾
That documentary where little kids where separated and put in a house for a week is so crazy. The boys absolutely couldn’t take care of themselves, but the girls were able to, and they were the same age.

Thank you very much!
I am extremely excited about this week's edition of
#SocialFocus
. This week, we'll be discussing a major social problem affecting the girl child. It's a critical social and health issue with wide practice across Nigeria.
Yes, you guessed right: Female Genital Mutilation!!
If you have the opportunity to do advanced study, a research degree especially, please do it. People sometimes underrate the amount of transferable technical and soft skills you gain from academics. It’s absolutely worth it.
Today, I was officially welcomed to children’s church and I got plenty hugs from my new class folks🥰
I still have mixed feelings about teaching toddlers and age 5-7. I wanted pre-teens or teenagers but this should be a good ride.
Add “aunty” to my name please😌

I’ve always imagined what if feels like to have a streak of academic achievements. I’ve always admired people who did. Now that I have completed a streak of 3, I’m really humbled. This one will always stay with me.
I love how many people are saying that Nigerians should normalise small weddings (like 25 guests). Please don’t come here to cry about not getting invited for your friend’s wedding oh.
