It amazes me that people who call themselves Christians criticize people for being poor. Do better. I grew up poor and my parents both worked extremely hard. I know what that’s like. Where is your COMPASSION if you are supposed to be a believer? The least of these is hungry.
Any man on public assistance should feel profound shame. It is humiliating to rely on government to provide for your family. That cultural shame is a necessary component of having a welfare state, otherwise you end up with families abusing the system shamelessly.
