These @DOGE revelations make me think that we need a āGeneva Conventionā style law for companies in the US: 1. Government instructing private corporations to violate the constitution is punishable by stiff prison sentences. 2. Implementing unconstitutional government instructions/coersion is not a defense at trial.

We donāt agree on everything but Pfaff is a great patriot. A serious political operative who stands in stark contrast to most in DC who identify as libertarians- who use the moniker b/c theyāre too afraid to tell their Uber driver that theyāre a Republican.
Is Trump a 'libertarian'? The answer is: Yes. Below is my brief assessment. But before I get into that. Let me say that no Libertarian candidate for President that's ever been nominated has ever been capable of going as far as I show Trump has in the foregoing. Most Libertarian candidates didn't have most of this on their agenda. Yet Donald Trump has set the agenda in a libertarian direction in a manner inconceivable before it happened. This is a huge win for all of us. here we go. Just look at these accomplishments. 1. Reversal of Biden-era environmental regulations to encourage domestic oil production, including actions focused on Alaska. 2. Withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement. 3. Establishment of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) led by Elon Musk to streamline government spending. 4. Implementation of a hiring freeze on federal workers except for military and select categories. 5. Revocation of approximately 80 Biden executive actions. 6. Actions to dismantle diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies in federal hiring. 7. Withdrawal from the World Health Organization. 8. Policy shift regarding Ukraine, stating that returning to pre-2014 borders was unrealistic. 9. "Unleashing Alaskaās Extraordinary Resource Potential." 10. Establishing the Cryptocurrency Commission to Review and Regulate Digital Assets. This just scratches the surface. He has Tulsi Gabbard now as DNI who will take on the deep state activity behind surveillance programs (and, yes, she will take on FISA 702). RFK will be breaking down the corrupt processes in FDA and the fake science perpetuated in various agencies under HHS. He stopped money going to Ukraine. And lots more. Detractors will bring up tariffs. That's a discussion you'll see me bringing up here for some time. The typical 'libertarian' view has been that we should not impose tariffs. What's missing in that argument is our acceptance of other countries imposing tariffs upon us that we never countered. But long discussions to come in that regard. You'll bring up Israel and Gaza. OK. We need to have some discussions about that. I have problems as well. Let's see how it plays out. Trump's instinct is not toward war. It's against war. Let this play out. But certainly maintain your critical eye.

I went to public school for a year in Springfield, Oregon. Would have been ~1994. I vividly remember being scared out of my mind by teachers discussing the imminent ābig one.ā My other big memory of that year was the multiple āhide under deskā nuclear bomb drills.

@HeathMayo Is that real? What a travesty. I 100% support auctioning them off to patriotic citizens.

Peak midwittery on display here. That said, itās true. Firing federal workers isnāt about the money saved. Itās about the harm they cause by simply doing their jobs. Thatās the real point.

If you wondered if Bari Weiss had any utility to the conservative movement- this is the unequivocal answer. No.
"Itās hard to keep track of the upheaval in Washington since President Trumpās inauguration, and even harder, amid the media freakout, to distinguish important changes from trivial ones. But whatās happening at the National Endowment for Democracy is a very big deal, and has not been previously reported. NED, a key U.S. instrument for supporting grassroots freedom movements around the world and founded under Reagan, is under siege. An order from DOGE to the U.S. Treasury that blocked disbursement of NED funds has crippled the organizationāwhich received $315 million for fiscal year 2025āand its affiliates, The Free Press has learned. 'Itās been a bloodbath,' one NED staffer said. 'We have not been able to meet payroll and pay basic overhead expenses.' NEDās dismantling would be far more than a cost-cutting measure. It would symbolize a major change in U.S. foreign policy, undercutting the notion that democratic ideals foster U.S. global strength and influence. Instead, the Trump administration would be signaling that it no longer believes that promoting democracy around the globe is in the national interest.

The rule in spy world is youāre not allowed to get caught. USAID got caught. Thats why - the only reason really- Graham feels let down.
Gotta say, Im really surprised to hear Lindsey say thisā¦ā¦ā¦ "USAID is an agency that let us all down.... What I have seen makes me sick to my stomach.... The reason USAID is going to cease to exist as it did before, is because it SHOULD."

When the left uses the word āfraudā they mean it in the same way they mean ādemocracyā or āfreedomā or any other instances of their jargon. They define these words to me effectively the opposite of the common understanding as part of their propaganda strategy.
The NYTimes accuses @elonmusk of saying without proof that the federal bureaucracy is rife with fraud. I have worked in and around the federal bureaucracy for almost 40 years as an employee, a contractor and a critic. The bureaucracy is rife with fraud. I was even hired by the Department of Energy in 1992 to expose the science fraud of EPA. I've written books on the fraud. There are mountains and mountains of evidence of costly bureaucratic fraud in the federal government.
