Even if "troon" wasn't a known slur, "fetid" means "extremely foul-smelling". It's the equivalent of calling someone a "dirty Jew".
You don't get to engage with banter like that AND play innocent about never having been transphobic.

Further clarification: "dirty Jew" was chosen as the example here because it was the one that didn't require me to use another racial or religious slur, as antisemitism tends to be vicious enough that "Jew" is already enough of a slur to those who use it as one.
