baby!
we got
@nextjs
running on pages and workers with a distributed D1 sqllite database 🔥
this is the future don't get it wrong
@rickhanlonii
it’s just a plugin
it’s not a compiler
it’s not fine grained
its still not signals
it’s good actually
in fact it's doesn’t matter because i am forced to use react no matter what <— i am here

Oh I think server components finally clicked. In the most basic sense its a component that the server will one load once and then ship the result to the client. With all this discussion and diagrams around streaming, hydration ect I think i missed the basic point.
Is it a hot take to say that maintainers shouldn’t expect repros and users shouldn’t expect fixes?
I’d rather someone let me know they are having an issue even if they can’t be bothered to create a repro.
@luke_pighetti
There is something clever, see the sql right before it? Its basically a tagged template string which means the sql’’ is a function call that guards against SQL injection.
@loftwah
Perhaps but two people of same skill level but different proximities would be of different value. I think thats unfair and should be up to the individual.
Okay at first I disliked
@DrizzleORM
because it’s marketing was too in your face for my liking (similar to vercel) but after trying it its pretty nice so far.
It has better migration support than Kyesly dev, so I am giving it a go.
@ryanflorence
Do you think it’s fundamentally a flawed model? Usually if I go this far down a rabbit hole to justify an architecture, I start to question if its the right choice.
Thats said, I don’t have a better idea (yet).

There is no doubt that the keys have some predictive power but I think it has issues:
- Overfitting based on historical data, his "40 year record is mostly the data he used to form his model
- Subjectivity in the definitions and application of they keys, despite what Allan says

I’ll use it for something external things like a db, but I prefer the code I am editing to be running without docker, if I can get away with it.
Tada 🎉 is now running on
@Cloudflare
. I am keen to evaluate the performance and caching differences when compared to
@vercel
. The main reason for the move is cost.
So much of good software is a result of "people who give a damn".
Its not:
- The language used
- The framework used
- The amount of tests
- The coding style
Its literally just giving a damn.
@luke_pighetti
So the sql function will receive an array of strings and the interpolated values. The assumption is that the interpolated values are all sanitised in the function.
Im on mobile but you could probably dig through a similar implementation here:

I think the default should be raw text, and flag to turn on fancy stuff tbh. I am just imagining using a headless CMS and piping it into on of these bad boys. HR isn't gonna know or care what markdown is, and they might get surprising results with this default.
@mattpocockuk
Typesystems SHOULD drive api design. TS is already so flexible that it allows for poor api designs that stricter languages make harder to do.
Huge thanks to everyone that has donated to Mermaid Flow. It literally would not exist without your kinds words and donations to motivate me. Stay tuned for some exciting GPT integrations 👀

If every package specified the exact required dependencies then consumers would end up with lots of duplicate packages. For application code it would be fine but libraries should use acceptable versions ranges so the transitive dependenciescan be deduped.
@thdxr
The problem is, they will interject with any negative tweet against them claiming that the premise of the original tweet is wrong.
They will then dive into a long technical threads that the average reader can’t be bothered reading or understand, leaving the impression on most
Mermaid flow is averaging 1 premium yearly subscription per day so far.
We are so back and I am so excited to reinvest all of this into making the platform better. There is so much to improve.
Mesmerising 😵💫
I have been working hard at a new version of the Mermaid Flow editor. Better user experience, better architecture, less code.
Try it here:

Honestly, one of the saddest things about Biden dropping out is we could of put the keys to bed with the Trump vs Biden match up.
Though, if he won i'd probably become a keys believer 🤣

No auth yet. The tool is completely free to use at the moment. When I have built out most of the frontend I will look at accounts and auth. Typically I have gone with firebase for auth but I'll do a full round up and analysis when I get there. 1/2
Its about time I added testimonials to Mermaid Flow.
If you are interested in Mermaid Flow and want to see it grow, could you do me a huge favour and send me a quick testimonial?
A few words such as "Amazing time saver" or "The easiest way to create Mermaid Diagrams" would

I hit this recently, try this in your next config
