@imacSportsnet Frankly, the big winner in the suspension of McDavid was Conor Garland. The NHL, whether wittingly or unwittingly, effectively condoned the behavior about which you speak. An astute observer should hardly be surprised when a team dies by the sword with which they live. #NHL

@Bob_Stauffer @EdmontonOilers Corey Perry meted out the best revenge for the injustice that was handed to McDavid. In today's NHL. We would have loved to see someone rag doll Garland during his 1st shift, but that doesn't fly today. Instead, Corey Perry out-Garlanded Garland & a composed Oilers won the day!

@nielsonTSN1260 Do NFL or NBA officials arbitrarily call the rule book depending on the "state of the game?" If an infraction occurs, it is the official's responsibility to call it. Not calling the rulebook because it might "impact the game" is impacting the game.

If you watched the 'cast tonight, with the lineup discussion/Arvidsson being back, this just in from Knoblauch on the PK: "We’ve got six guys we’re using more (than Ryan) right now. Kapanen has come into the system with his skating, a longer reach, a little bit quicker."
