@btharris93 👍 Have said for a while now that you can't defy the law of geographical spread in our voting system. They could top out in loads of constituencies yet still fall short, and you really need a strong infrastructure to run these campaigns efficiently (see Labour last year).

You call the SoS for Education a Marxist then talk about arrogance and less humility (after having the ear of govt for nearly 14 years), it's probably time for some self-reflection tbh. The vast majority of HTs don't wade into politics precisely for this reason...
'I'm just asking for less arrogance and some humility to understand what we actually do.' Headmistress of Michaela Community School @Miss_Snuffy feels like she is in a ‘David vs Goliath’ battle with the Education Secretary over academy school 'freedoms.'

@adrianhughes0 One suspects that the only route for either/both to end up governing is by some sort of strategic pact as they can't defy the law of geographical vote spread. The problem occurs in that case though with the scenario you've just described.

@iamhamesh 👍 Put it like this, if I was Tice or Farage and genuinely wanted to win a GE, I'd be in no hurry to attach myself to the GOP method of governing or the money of their supporters for that matter either...

"I'm fighting a David vs Goliath battle", says Headteacher of flagship school in flagship govt education policy who enjoyed the ear of the previous administration and advantages other HTs can only dream of...
Headteacher Katharine Birbalsingh clashes with @TrevorPTweets over whether it’s reasonable to call Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson a “Marxist” She adds 'I am David here, trying to fight Goliath'. 📺 Sky 501

Remember this Robert? I'm still stumped as to how you managed to double down and avoid being sacked tbh...
Starmer’s lawyer mates aren’t just involved in the surrender of the Chagos. They’re also working to frustrate leasehold reforms for 5 million people. Even Labour MPs are warning of the ‘chilling effect’ that Lord Hermer is having.

@Catus14 I could be entirely wrong here, but I have a hunch that when we get towards a few weeks before the GE, there'll be a lot of soul-searching from ppl who are happy to support the "rebels" in opposition but will always go for the tried and tested options in the polling booth.

@Catus14 Quite, and I'm not sure whether Farage, Tice et al have considered the potential knock-on effect of gutting USAID. A tsunami of refugees whose only route is via Europe towards guess who...🤨 So ignorant they can't see past their own noses when it comes to geopolitics.
