@pakdamie Fair. Is the niche defined in geographic space or the space of the hearts of people? This is pedantic. I'm sorry. As long as you mash it all through MaxEnt and only report AUC, I say we do this project.

@pakdamie Can we estimate the fundamental niche from known distribution? Competition with other gas stations will surely limit the distribution, but is arguably not part of the fundamental niche. Observing Sheets across the landscape will only tell us about the realized niche, right?

@DanMcGlinn 100% not future-proof. Text only all the way. Tough for list objects or data structures that don't go in csv, but I'd take json or xml over a clunky Rdata file anyday.
