In my opinion, one of the most interesting parts of worldbuilding for fantasy settings is the politics. And while we’ve seen bits and pieces of Xadia’s political sphere, there’s still a lot left to explore. Specifically, I want to see more of what this world looks like post-war.

As for Rayla and Callum, we see them in a sort of ambassador role, traveling the world in the name of diplomacy. They’d witness first-hand the lingering tension from hundreds of years of hatred and violence. We also think it’d be interesting for them to be engaged at this point.

We think this arc will take place after 2–4 year timeskip, which sets the stage for the characters to hold a couple different roles. As he grows up, we see Ezran grapple with his duty and his grief, and trying to maintain a balance between firm justice and his pacifist ideals.

In arc 3, we’d like to look at what tensions may still remain between humans and elves. After all, hundreds of years of wrongdoings and prejudice don’t get erased by killing one bad guy, by stopping one war. There are gonna be people out there unhappy about this newfound peace.

We’d love to see how they rebuild their future in the wake of not being sure they’d even have one. We’ve seen tweets saying the Cosmic Order will be the next big bad, but the world-ending, retrieval driven type plots do get tired and repetitive eventually.

To us, the most interesting move would be to expand upon the world rather than to keep dooming it. The world and our characters have to heal eventually. Systemic change doesn’t happen overnight and we can’t wait to see how this world begins to move towards progress.
