the poetry of Mipha and Zelda and how they're parallels of each other...Mipha is everything Zelda wants to be. she has powers, her loving father, & her people adore her. and yet, Zelda has the one thing Mipha desperately wants: Link.
it’s always “kataang is hero gets the girl so it’s sexist” but have u ever considered that katara is the hero and the people’s princess aang is her reward
it’s crazy she can figure out the whole story of TOTK through a mural but couldn’t connect GANONdorf to GANON. this level of dumbing down characters needs to be studied because there’s no way she doesn’t know about the myth of Ganon being a man
nintendo: it’s up to interpretation
also nintendo: they’re married, live together, go on dates, link says he has a special girl, he’s her CHOSEN protector & named ZELDA’S loyal swordsman, “taidama”, + he follows her around like a lost puppy
i just realized Link and Zelda never wore their staple TOTK costumes together. like all this advertisement and they never even stood next to each other with the game's main outfits
i’m obsessed with OOT Link’s face because he’s so handsome in a way the others aren’t…look at that pointy nose and crazy eyebrows. he’s the only Link who can pull of a middle part.
Hyrule is stagnant in time because of Demise’s curse, forever collapsing and rebuilding over thousands of years. Society’s existed longer than ours by a HUGE margin but the evolution of culture, religion, politics, don’t really happen. Medieval stasis is so cool.
can we stop acting like BOTW Link is scrawny,, he’s been a knight since 12, climbs mountains daily & got the core strength to paraglide all day?? he’s not Tauro but he’s the most athletic guy in hyrule
seeing Link do this makes you realize how flirty Puppet Zelda was...like Ganondorf is actually the biggest Zelink shipper cus he literally didn't need to do all this but he thought flirting with Link was in tune with Zelda's normal attitude
isn’t it poetic that the first Link and Zelda AND the last Link and Zelda in the timeline ended up together? they started and finished as a dynamic duo :)
it's not even in the strictly romantic sense tbh. Link opened up to Zelda in a way Mipha wishes he would to her. he's silent with Mipha, but close to Zelda. they're both envious of something the other has & i think that's so cool
the way link kept getting back up until he knew for sure that zelda would be safe, and when he finally sees her sealing power unlock, he lets himself rest
reminder that link and zelda’s core characteristic is their innate, self-destructive unyielding goodness that no amount of pain can change in any incarnation
i’ve said it once i’ll say it again. no character trope will ever hit as hard as "i have every reason to hate the world and watch it burn, but i will choose to love instead. every time i will choose to love."
i would recognize you in total darkness, were you mute and i deaf. i would recognize you in another lifetime entirely, in different bodies, different times. and i would love you in all of this, until the very last star in the sky burnt out into oblivion.
keep seeing ppl say zuko would be the popular kid in modern high school aus and i feel the need to say that he absolutely would not. bro practiced his apology speech for the gaang to a FROG, that boy is a full dork😭
hate those “kataang” fics where katara is just so “confused” that she literally leads on aang for YEARS as if she wasn’t already down bad for him since The Boy in the Iceberg
a common misconception i see is that zelda hated being the princess, but i think she just hated not being able to fulfill her duty. she DOES want to lead hyrule & that’s why she was so sad in BOTW. in TOTK, we see her become the leader she was meant to be.
