Don't remake good games. Make new good games. Don't reboot good games, reboot poor games that had a good premise.

@roger_creus_art I liked the GOG version of Diablo, I clicked play and got to play Diablo. Yeah it was meant for 4:3, but, changing that would change the gameplay.

@SandyofCthulhu I feel that people underestimate the impact of the Cyberdemon, he is potentially the first fps enemy to: have a continual audio alert building tension, fire in bursts, use splash damage, fire at an angle, use player tiers of damage output for a single hit.

@roger_creus_art Imagine buying a classic album which has been updated to sound good on your 7.1 system only to discover they adjusted lyrics, redid three solos, and buried the bass in the mix. It is unfortunate that slop sells.

@richardslamfist That was my impression, again, full outsider. They made him not-awesome because it matched the input and angles. Likewise it would feel silly playing a skilled, experienced combatant in those confines. They migrated the game to being good for action, but not the character.

@richardslamfist This particular case calls for a more risky transformative approach, and risk is the exact thing such a project is avoiding. If they wanted to take risks, they would make a new game.
