@Merry_Meredith @HenryDimbleby If you overlay the inundation map for projected sea level rises, that would have a radical effect on that map.

@Colne_Valley Is that life-belt there because National Highways have a treatment pond there? I’d love to get a sample of the inflow in the rain ☔️

@herdyshepherd1 Some of the eNGOs are capitalising on these opportunities without batting an eyelid. It’s shameful 😢 Water replenishment credits are the worst I think.

This discharge from the M6 near Wigan enters the Leeds/Liverpool canal. Highway runoff should never discharge to canals because all the contaminated sediment & dissolved toxins accumulate around the discharge point, poisoning the local environment.

If you’re interested to find highways outfalls that are polluting your local river, now is the time 🕰️ This outfall will be hidden in the undergrowth in a few weeks, but by locating it now, I’ve given myself the best chance of finding it again in the rain ☔️ in the Spring 👍🏻

Research in Canada is underway to investigate the harm caused to fish eggs by road salt applications during the winter. The results have not been peer-reviewed yet, but they have found evidence of significant effects on the fish eggs.

@herdyshepherd1 I read it and enjoyed it very much. I have donated it to the local Hospice shop in the hope that someone else can enjoy it too, and then hopefully pass it forward again 👍🏻
