I am a Protestant. Religion plays no part in my hatred for Orange Walks and all they stand for. It comes from being a caring, unprejudiced, open-minded and forward-thinking member of society. All the qualities lacking from those who support marching through hatred. End them now.
After six years of hard work and battling the odds I have been awarded a first class honours degree in psychology.
Feeling proud of myself for showing that attitude and determination can overcome physical disability.
12 years ago today I broke my neck.
The 1st year spent in the bubble of hospital. The next couple of years lost to depression, pain & medication. Then it all changed. Every year since then I am surprised by how life keeps getting better.
Here's to the healing powers of time!!
Celtic fans don't want to play against St.Mirren who have a team full of youngsters.
Rangers fans don't want to play against Celtic who have a stadium full of fans.
Levels.
Out of surgery already after completely bossing it. Went better than anybody expected and the surgeon has no explanation for the sudden recovery. They have no concerns and letting me go home today. I am a medical mystery! Thanks for all the support over the last couple of days.
So happy I am getting back to Celtic Park tomorrow. It has been a shit time recently with being stuck in bed so it will be a special moment for me when Danny unveils that flag!😃⚽️🏆
Celtic failed to win three competitive games and the media go into overdrive with tales of epic failure.
The Rangers lose two games in a row and will we witness the same hysteria? Not a chance!
Thanks for all the messages wishing me well. Unfortunately I have been admitted and waiting on an emergency slot for surgery tomorrow morning. Still don't know what to expect but hopefully I will be happily watching the hoops this time tomorrow night!
@kcommons15
@celtic
Thank you for the massive part you have played in our success. Many great moments. A player and a man we will not forget. Family forever!
Celtic fans can really fuck me off. MSM have been pushing for MD sale since day1. All their hard work has affected the boy. He hasn't said a word. His agent has been silent. Rodgers & Davies have been honest. Now Celtic fans want him gone. Mugs. Media have played us like a flute.
I woke up this morning to hundreds and hundreds of messages from you guys wishing me well for today. Can't reply to everyone but I am grateful to each of you. I'm confident everything will go smoothly and will update when I can talk again. Thank you all💚
So many going to Celtic Park tonight without a loved one by their side for the 1st time.
Emphasises what Celtic truly represents. It's a way of life that brings us closer to each other.
Take a moment tonight to support those who still have Celtic but have lost someone they love.
On this day 17yrs ago my life was balanced on a knife edge, in hospital in Spain with a broken neck.
Against the odds, I lived. Although I'm paralysed from the neck down & attached to a ventilator to breathe, I consider myself incredibly fortunate to enjoy the life I do (1 of 2)
13 years ago today since I broke my neck. It's an anniversary usually celebrate.
This year is very different but it'll take more than a global pandemic to stop me enjoying my 14th anniversary!
Why are so many people confused by Lennon's interview? He knows fine well we were not outstanding tonight and so will the players. It's all about the feelgood factor. Gerrard has players scared into making mistakes while we keep fighting.
The booing of Kamara is terrible and so is the brass neck of Rangers fans.
They are seriously condemning the deep-rooted national problem of racism in another country.
Oh the irony!
The media are desperate to portray Celtic as a club in crisis. Unfortunately lots of our fans are fuelling the fire. At the same time, they make out The Rangers* can do no wrong and their fans are believing the hype.
Fan momentum is important & we have our job to do.
Don't let them near Celtic Park for the last game of the season. The club has a responsibility is to protect our players, employees and fans. That can't happen with their lot in the stadium.
Covid result back - Negative!
Hopefully antibiotics start working on this chest infection but feel like I have dodged another bullet. Thanks for all the message yesterday, now I can start looking forward again :-)
After 6yrs, submitted last essay of my BSc Psychology Degree. Feeling very proud!
I've faced my obstacles. For others, could be lack of confidence, anxiety or any mental/physical barrier. Whatever the obstacle, never doubt what can be achieved when you want something enough!
The new contract for Scott Brown takes on so much importance now. Whoever the manager, Brown will be key in keeping the morale and focus of players at the same level. KT, McGregor, Sinclair and other senior players will also need to step up.
Thank you to everyone who gave their time and effort to send a birthday message yesterday. I appreciate each one.
40 is just another number and while this may not be the life I once imagined for myself, I am grateful for the life I have the people who make it. I am truly happy😁
Don't agree with the 'anti-Rod/Tory' banner today.
I'm disgusted with the Tories and disappointed in Rod but…
'A club open to all' is not a mantra that allows the fans to include or exclude as they see fit. Can't have it both ways.
"I'll give my life to make Leicester supporters proud". Seriously? That would make you cringe. He couldn't give three months to the club he "loves", I doubt he will give his life to bring the glory of winning a relegation battle!
Thanks to
@ScottishFA
I miss watching Celtic play cup semi-finals & finals as well as Scotland games
Not unless they think it is acceptable to put wheelchair users so far away that we are surrounded by kiosk queues. Shocking wheelchair access but plenty of comfy corporate seats!
Thanks to the CSC's for keeping your flags away at the end of the game. Genuinely appreciate your understanding. I'm sure some will be unhappy about the pre-match buildup but I am just glad I could watch the celebrations for the 8th year in a row. Here's to the next two👏🏆🎉
Would the following CSC’s ..Airdrie Neil Lennon and Castlemilk Bhoys ..do you mind pulling your banners up so the disabled fans below in the TBV can see the warm up and celebrations after the game
@CelticFCDAO
@CelticFCSLO
@CelticFC
An unpopular opinion but I would rather Barkas than Forster. I know the big man has been great but Barkas is 7yrs younger, national goalkeeper, Europa and CL experience. Still be big improvement. And I fear the money FF would cost will limit NL's options to strengthen elsewhere.
14 years ago today I broke my neck.
The date seems like a second birthday and I am always proud to see another one. Thanks to everyone who's kept me safe over the last crazy year. Ready to smash the next year and make up for lost time!
VAR providing Scottish referees with another means of cheating.
Penalty to Hearts was the right decision but Celtic goal disallowed and penalty denied demonstrating that nothing is going to change. Same referees making the same terrible decisions.
Early start and heading to BBC studios this morning. I will be LIVE on Radio Scotland from 11 AM talking about my accident, life with a disability and the great work done by
@sisonlineorg
. *Don't bloody swear Steven!
Stephen Hawking should be remembered as an incredible man. Not only as an advocate for disabled people achieving great things but also as a funny and caring human being. The world is a better place thanks to his life.
#RIPStephenHawking
If Rogers had just waited until the end of the season he would have left with an incredible legacy in place. I for one will now remember him as a sell out who left the club vulnerable.
This was the first time speaking publicly about my accident, the challenges of recovering, my life now and also volunteering with Spinal Injuries Scotland. As always, appreciate your time, comments and RT's
Wishing all my twitter friends, new and old a very happy Christmas. Enjoy the company of your loved ones and make the time to tell them they are important. Then get smashed!🥂🍻🍾🎅
Can't go to the game tonight after spending all last night coughing my lungs up. Not happy but I will get people to play about with my light switches and have my own disco!🕺
If the anonymous individual who just made an enormous donation to my sister's fundraising happens to be reading this you should know that your story has given Fiona even more inspiration to help with spinal research. Every single donation is appreciated so thank you to you all!
All the Celtic fans raging that we might sign McKenna will be the ones raging we didn't sign McGinn. In a couple of years he could be a top-class defender and the same fans will be raging we didn't sign him when we had the chance. Can't win!
This was going to be a project fans would get behind as we develop over the next season. The fact it's disappointing to lose 1-0 at Ibrox 4 games into the season highlights progress beyond expectation.
Much work still to do but I've not lost any faith in our intended direction.
Started the process to donate my body to medical science when I die. Surprised some people find the idea offensive. It wouldn't be that it the research saved your life!
So...... Solid from DDV. Ajer must be 1st choice CD. Need Ralston fit. Broony is the boss. Ntcham a class act. Delighted for MD getting goal & assist. KT a one-of-a-kind. Sevco will be chasing long after 2021. Some Celtic fans never happy unless they are complaining. That's all.
Those posting vile, hateful tweets about an old woman dying will be blocked from my Twitter. Friend or fellow Celtic fan, makes no difference.
I stand against the idea of a monarchy but I do stand for decent human values. Just imagine it was your own grandmother before posting.
My nephews 18th birthday today. First day out of the house to see all the family in 20 weeks. A little surreal to be sitting in a restaurant, acting 'normal' but so happy to be part of society again!!
All of this catfish nonsense on Celtic Twitter will have people looking for different social media.
If you want 'real', check out my OnlyFans where I will having spasms and choking on my own saliva
It's like Christmas day for all the keyboard managers, players, tacticians, scouts and chief executives. In my humble opinion,
@celticfc
biggest problem has been the failure to recruit from twitter.
Hypothetically, if Tierney moves to Arsenal I will be gutted but hold no grudge and wish him all the best.
Those who compare him to Rodgers are way out of line. That's disappointment coming across as bitterness and spite. We know it will happen eventually. Grow up.
Also, personal abuse at the likes of Dembele is nothing short of Hunish. Disgusted by the number of people telling him to "fuck off". You may support Celtic but you are just an idiot disguised in green and white!
No one can predict where or why your life story will be rewritten but setbacks CAN lead to success & loss CAN lead to love.
Whatever challenge you're facing in life, hang on to the hope that the pain will pass & can lead you to appreciate what was once taken for granted.
I read Gerrard's interview after the game yesterday and he said he was going to do "everything he can to help the lad" when asked about Morelos and his lack of discipline.
Today, they appeal the red card. Surely that is the same as telling the lad 'you have done nothing wrong'
Lessons from today,
Scott Brown is the boss of Scottish football✔️
At 21, Ntcham & Dembele both have the potential to achieve greatness✔️
Tactically, Murty can't tie Brendan's laces✔️
We're still waiting for this 'chase' to get started✔️
Ibrox is green & white again✔️
I agree with all reasonable criticism of the players & the manager. Fans are right to be concerned & right to be angry.
Some of the pish I am reading about replacing the manager is embarrassing. It's a really bad spell but 6 trophies out of 6 should buy the man some respect.
So the positive…
Lennon is going. The timing is ideal. League still salvageable, dead rubber on Thursday then a run of good games for the new man in charge to get his feet under the desk.
Also, I would rather have lost this game than drop another 3pts in the league.
Horrible reading Ange pleading for the fans to unite behind the team tomorrow.
I know the protests are justifiable but I hate to see any wedge develop between the team, the manager and the fans. That relationship has been crucial to our good form. I hope it doesn't suffer.
If one person has earned our trust for recruitment and development over the years then it's Stevie Woods.
If he wants Forster back then that's good enough for me.
I don't grudge Tierney a move to play top opposition or the financial rewards that come with it. Plus, £25m is big money for us.
I just don't want him at Arsenal. They've got no soul. A corporation with plastic fans. KT seems driven by passion, will he find that at Arsenal?
I would love them to find one final gullible investor and give the money to a total rookie.
The old Rangers died chasing European success. At least they were ambitious. This Rangers will die chasing Aberdeen.
I took unwell yesterday and still struggling today so I need to miss my first home game of the league. Typical.
Atmosphere is going to be electric, time to turn the tide
🌊
Sick of reading tweets from Celtic fans complaining about the Mcginn situation. As he signs for Villa then it's a reflection of the grossly inflated transfer market down South. Our transfer policy is and always should be 'the right player at the right price'.
