Me and my colleague spent 3hrs tonight with a suicidal male at his home. The stress of day to day living was getting too much. A phone call to his mh team, made him a coffee and a sandwich, and just having a chat made such a difference to him. It’s not all about arrests 💙

The male who assaulted us went to Court today. He pleaded guilty and received 12 weeks in custody for each charge plus 8 weeks for other offences. He’ll serve half, so will be out in 16 weeks. This IS NOT enough of a deterrent

After a long investigation, 3 interviews, a 14hr day to get a charging decision from the CPS, and attending court this morning, a remand was authorised. The victim cried with relief after months of stalking by their ex. Days like this make me proud to be a Police Officer 😊💙

Heart breaking job I attended with paramedics this morning. The sudden death of an elderly lady who was the main carer for her husband with dementia. Emergency care put in place to keep him safe, which will more than likely be a care home. Such a lot for him to cope with 😢😢

1/2 Went to a sudden death today. The lady hadn’t been seen by her neighbours for over 3 wks. Sadly, we found her deceased in her flat, surrounded by all her belongings she’d accrued during her long life. No next of kin, which made me sad that her passing had gone unnoticed 😢

Drink drivers make my blood boil. I interviewed a male this morning who had been over twice the legal limit when he caused significant damage to a parked car. Thankfully no one was injured, but he showed no remorse whatsoever. He’ll be dealt with by the courts in due course.

I arrested a drink driver today who blew 89 at 1 o’clock in the afternoon. Luckily no one was injured when their car went off the road into a ditch. Hopefully they’ll be off the road for sometime! 😡💙

One in custody this evening for drunk and disorderly. Male resisted arrest so I had to use my Captor spray, which was very effective, but unfortunately I got my crew mate too! 🤦♀️Occupational hazard but I did feel really bad for her. I bought her chocolate to say sorry 😊💙

2/2 a selfish, arrogant male drove into her vehicle, and hit her head on at 100 mph. It flipped her vehicle, her and her daughter had to be cut free. How they’re both here is only due to the vehicle they were in. This is what speeding does! Ruins lives! 🤬
