My mother suffered from PPA/ FTD for 7 years and I can assure you that the work that you see here is PRICELESS. Not only does it provide cognitive stimulation, but the very much needed human contact that is sorely lacking in most care homes, no matter how "fancy" or well intended

It doens't 'rival' runway. It obliterates it, and everything else for that matter, FLOSS or commercial. The point being - it likely will end up like DALL·E, very little control between gens, and neutered to the point of being unusable.

100% and I have the receipts to prove this happened to my mum. To often GPs simply considered the person to be some sort of "lost cause" which is dehumanizing and evidently leads to misdiagnosis, and by extension incorrect treatments.

I provided CPT and CST for my mother while she was impacted by FTD/PPA and I can vouch for the incredible power of these approaches. The challenge is that I was - of course - the only person doing this since the care home had no program of that sort. Let's make it universal!

The "don't talk as if they weren't there" is on point. A lot of doctors could learn from that. I've seen things you couldn't believe. People wheeled in, like some zoo animals, in care homes lobbies to be observed by the family, because 'policy of no entry in habitations'.

Thank you for this. I have been battling locally in Spain for better access to imaging in FTD/PPA patients. Too often it is deemed to be a "waste of time", when in fact it can be a very valuable source of information on the progression of the disease and treatment adaptation 🙏
