I haven't seen the full document/analysis (I've spent 20 minutes looking for it, and I cannot find it, so please link if you have it), but there is a screenshot that says something like "28% of the NSF budget went to DEI efforts in 2024." I'd be shocked if this were true.

I'm rarely here, but I've seen screenshots of "NSF misallocation" floating around this website today that might benefit from deeper thought.

@SwipeWright @NSF @DOGE How are you binning this? 1) If an awarded proposal used any of these keywords, the full amount of that grant is considered "toward DEI," or 2) Only the funding allocated to a specific workstream "toward DEI"? (e.g., a broader impacts workshop, specific publications, etc)
