@vkn2904 No . They dont stop them. The men with thread are given priority in Q, puja and prasad. In some temples ( where food is served ) they are served food seperately treating them as special guests.

In an old Shiva temple near Trivandrum , the pujari announced that all high caste should come for teerth & prasad in one line and others in another. I was surprised.
