Uche is one of my good friends and needs a new kidney. She’s been battling with lupus & ESRD it’s taken a toll on her and her family. You don’t have to donate a kidney however you can help by sharing her story and also by praying for her and her family. Thank you as you do so!
In January, I was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease due to my lupus and had to be started on dialysis. Truly Grateful God and family during this time. Below is a link to my site on the National Kidney Website where you can find more information.

I’m currently doing a surgery observership and I talked to my dad about one of the procedures. He went on to explain the types of colostomies in so much detail and tbh one of my goals is to learn surgery from him and perform surgeries together. 🥺🥺🤞🏾🤞🏾

This can be hard, but you HAVE to put yourself out there. Make a list of people you want to meet. Reach out with an email before the meeting and plan to get a cup of coffee. Almost always folks are more than happy to engage with med students. You all are our future!
