also, not only can you just catch a drug resistant strain of TB in the first place, other strains can become drug resistant while you’re treating it if it’s not done properly! then it take YEARS to treat if you even survive it! do NOT fuck around with TB!!
so does everyone know that untreated tuberculosis has a >50% fatality rate and even with treatment (which is 6+ mo of antibiotics) it can cause many chronic health issues & shorten life expectancy eg after treatment, 20-50% of people have permanent lung damage from tb
