i listen to a lot of science podcasts & they almost always end w/ "turns out x thing we thought was biological is a cultural thing that shapes a bias in research" and its like im begging STEM folks to just open ONE humanities book..just for the sake of more interesting podcasts

a step further - what the state does benefits/hurts people differently, and so we shouldn't measure our political action based on what it does to you/your community
I’ll go one further. What your government does to others is already affecting you anyway, if you don’t acknowledge it you are ignorant and uninformed by privilege. We do not live in a vacuum. Everything affects and is affected by everything else.
