In Autumn, Two local ED’s are reporting winter waiting time figures. Altnagelvin and the Ulster - “patients are everywhere” says one Dr. Yesterday saw the highest ever number of attendances in Antrim ED - 349 over 24 hours.

This is very important. If you can lift your relative or friend at midday instead of after teatime, you’ve allowed a patient that may have been waiting 24 hours in A&E a bed. The longer you spend waiting for a bed, the more likely you are to come to harm.
