Check out my book, 'The Process', written with @jeffwzimmerman. I also make fantasy baseball spreadsheets. 2021 @TGFBI Overall Champion.
Joined December 2012
The latest edition of The Process is now available in electronic form. Paper editions in Amazon will be available later. A lot of important new research this year, along with the SGP and standings history you're used to.
The 2025 edition of The Process is now available in PDF form! The appendix edition includes 140 new pages and 21 new studies, many from special contributors! The research covers player evaluation, draft research, and FAAB strategy. Please read more here.

@comish4lif @MSPowerBI The Excel file is fully unlocked and editable. I assume it can be pulled into PBI, etc.

In which I say I still look at OPS when assessing a player and everyone else says they’d get rid of it entirely.
Alright, here it is. The 2025 Fantasy Baseball Masterclass on the @PullHitterPod with @steveymer @PhilDussault27 @batflipcrazy @jeffwzimmerman @smartfantasybb ⚾️Acuna, deGrom, Stuff+ ⚾️Explore ways to quantify the value of roster flexibility and bench depth in different league formats. ⚾️Metrics we covet and think are overused/over-glorified ⚾️Future of SGP and how to contextualize it for the person using it ⚾️Investigate how to better incorporate park factor adjustments for individual players, especially for pitchers. ⚾️Getting better at playing time predictions ⚾️Identify specific pockets of the draft where outfield depth becomes a priority and adjust draft strategies accordingly. Much much more!

@TJStats @Homerzygous I can look at how up to date my Yahoo ids are soon. My process is a bit manual to keep all the systems reconciled. Thanks for the shout out and for setting this up.

@tori_phillip @jeffwzimmerman @PhilDussault27 @RotoGut @steveymer @RobSilver @The__Arrival I do not keep FanDuel up to date, admittedly. But Fangraphs is pretty updated. I do have to run some updates from the last week or so. My scope is season long fantasy, not DFS. I aim to keep fantasy relevant names on the list.

@PARSlist @TJStats @RobSilver I do only include “fantasy relevant” players, which is admittedly ambiguous.

@DeltaBreaks_ Do you have a 10 games played rule? Could change the eligibility rule on the League Setup tab.

@jeffwzimmerman @MoonshotsMLB Worth trying out. It would be great if you could include MLB ID.

@DeltaBreaks_ You should fill out the average player calculations. Those can be very important if you have an unusual league size (real small, real big, only league, etc). I think your slope issue is just that you need to show one or two more decimal places. It might just be cutting off.

@Zeitheist1 Yes, I agree with that order. That video in the tweet before this shows how to import from the aggregator to the SGP file. It’s not hard, just a couple quirks to be aware of.

@Zeitheist1 You are welcome to try it. I do not have high hopes for Excel 2011. That is quite old at this point. But it could work! Here's a video no how to go from aggregator to SGP file:
