Hold up. So the province can just buy housing and manage it through the NS Provincial Housing Agency? That's so weird! Why haven't we been doing that for the last three years? There must be something specifically unique about these folks being helped.
The province has bought 25 modular homes for $7.4 million. The 2- and 3-bedroom homes will be available for rent to people displaced by the recent wildfires while they rebuild. Rents are $1k-$2k/month, month-to-month leases
