This is just plain wrong I’m sorry, I’m no film student and even I know if the aim was to focus on them “not seeing the rest of the world” there wouldn’t be a third subject (Will) to begin with, even if he’s out of focus
as a person who is currently taking a film class: the focus of the shot is the distance between them and then the relief of the meeting in the middle. the focus is just that: it shows that Mike and El aren’t seeing the rest of the world, because they’re so focused on each other.+

I will never not be amazed by Will’s decisions in the opening scene of the show he literally did everything right. He left the bike where it was, tried to call the police, and when he realized how dire the situation was he was brave enough to choose self defense instead of hiding
